His grandfather Maxwell Kelch, was the first president of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and founded Las Vegas' first radiostation (KENO). Gubler's sister Laura Dahl is fashion designer based in New York City. He has a brother named Gray Gubler who was born in 1994. He appeared in a music video that Matthew Gray Gubler directed. Gubler confirmed that he was single in August and has been since early last year.
